Lots of big things happening in our little corner of the world lately!
I started a new job! At first I was so nervous about the change because it's a total different direction that I ever thought I would go. I'm still working in administrative Public Health, but now I'm doing statistical data analysis (umm whoa! never thought this former sorority girl would say that!). Long term, I can see that health care (and every industry really) is moving in the direction of big data and I'm excited to learn and be a part of it.
CWF turned 30 last week! It's a big one for sure. His gift was a round of golf at Pebble Beach and we can't wait to go! He also received a custom needlepoint belt (it was so fun designing it!). I also made him the above cake per his request and it turned out sooo yummy! I made my own frosting from powered sugar, using this recipe.
Mr. Kitty had to have 6 teeth removed recently. He is slowly getting better now but he was in a lot of pain for a while. It's been so difficult for us to see him suffer and be able to do little for him. And becasue he lost his back molars he won't be able to eat dry food anymore, but we are grateful that he will be feeling 100% soon!

My bridal session was featured on Wedding Sparrow last week!
Don't worry, I've also been keeping myself extremely busy with brunches, happy hours, golf then happy hours and lots of Junior League activities in between. I'm not sure if I mentioned but I am the Publications & Correspondence Chair this year and it has kept me very busy. If you are interested, we put out a quarterly publication that you can check out here.
And since you read through all of that, I wanted to do a quick giveaway. Entertainment.com contacted me about giving away a subscription to their digital access. My family used to buy the entertainment books through our church as a fundraiser, and now they've made it even easier by offering the coupons online or on your phone. We've already used a coupon for a buy one get one free at our favorite local ice cream place. They have tons of local places as well as online stores, and since we are trying to save money wherever we can it's been really helpful. If you are interested in winning your own free digital access (and why wouldn't you be?! Hello, saving money!) please just leave your email in the comments below. I'll announce the winner next Monday, October 13.
